A study recently published in the newspaper gamma Pediatrics by a group of researchers from the University of Dartmouth that 60% of children aged between 10 and 14 years , and they have televisions in their bedrooms gained weights additional compared with their peers who do not have televisions in their rooms . The researchers took into account the time that children spend watching TV .
The researchers studied  on the phone with the 6522 boys and girls between the ages of 10 and 14 years old and their parents . Participants were asked to answer a series of questions , for example : Is there a TV in the bedroom ? How many hours watching TV ?
And all the results confirm that the presence of a television in a child's bedroom cause an increase in body mass index . Where I found the results to be 59.1 percent of the participants in the study have TVs in their bedrooms , and they are responsible for increasing body mass index between 0.57 and 0.75 .
According to the researchers , not only the presence of television in children's rooms to cause weight gain and even electronic devices such as smart phone and computer . So recommends the American Academy of Pediatrics that there is no such devices in a child's bedroom
